Why the playlists?
I started with a single playlist where I would place songs that remind me of the book. As the years and went on and the book turned into a trilogy and characters expanded, I sorted out my compilation of songs into individual character playlists.
Each playlist represents the characters personalities, actions, and emotions. Listening to these helped me get into the mind and understand each of them while writing.
I will admit. The spotify one does not get update, really at all. I use apple music and converted it over to spotify, but when I add music to my apple playlist, I forget to add it to spotify too.
